I am a self-taught artist currently working out of my studio in Forestville,
CT. I grew up in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate
New York and relocated to Connecticut at age 12. At age 17 I left the
confines of my Bristol, CT home and began a twelve year journey that
would lead me all over the country and around the globe. The unique
landscapes and local cultures I encountered, whether home or abroad,
would become locked in my memory forever…and lend themselves to
my creative pursuits.

I have always been an art lover, visiting countless galleries and
museums in my travels over the years, but I never envisioned myself
on the creative end of the spectrum until the fall of 2005. After
experiencing several major, life-changing events, I realized that I
needed to reach deep within myself and find my voice. On a whim, I
bought some basic materials, made an easel out of scrap wood and
decided to have some fun. My hobby quickly became a passion and a
little more than a year later I began showing my work at small local
venues. In January of 2008 I held my first solo exhibit.

Many people spend a lifetime in pursuit of their passion...and finding
that passion is magnified greatly when it brings joy to others. I consider
painting a sweet diversion from the madness that is life. If you enjoy my
work I am humbly flattered.
